• One jet car, the Speed Demon, a streamliner, was able to clock 462 mph in a one-way run before being forced to abort the return run due to rain. This car is also the current record holder for the AA/FS class.

• Currently, jet car models drag racing is the only automotive motorsport that has jet-engine vehicles. In the UCAR series in the late 1980s, there was a jet engine class that was quickly revolutionized when they went to unlimited small-block V8 engines. This was similar to the AMA series.
